The Story
Rama Chandra (Venkatesh) is the DCP of Hyderabad City. He is an orphan and does not share any relation with anyone, which he thinks is to his advantage as the police jobs demands are such. He doesn't have much faith in the judicial system, and eliminates the baddies in the town through encounters. Also, he is in love with Maya (Asin), a school teacher. Initially he shuns her love, fearing that his enemies would cause harm to her. But, her love is so deep she is willing to put up with all of it, and they tie the knot. In one of his encounters, Rama Chandra eliminates an Orissa-based don called Das, and that’s when trouble begins lurking. Das’ brother Panda (Salim Baig) plans to take revenge on the DCP by targeting his friends and family members. A point comes when even Rama Chandra’s wife is kidnapped by the villains. That’s when he sets out on a mission to eliminate the bad guy, which serves two purposes– to save his wife, and to kill the social menace. The rest of the story finally shows how DCP Rama Chandra puts an end to Panda and his mafia. The only difference between the Tamil version of the garshana and Telugu is that the heroine dies at the end in the kaaka kaaka where as in the Garshana movie the heroine doesn't die.
