MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai witnessed the Kollywood stars illuminating the evening with their sheer presence and with their performance with bat and ball.
It was a Star Cricket Show, jointly conducted by Hash 10 (cell phone Company) and Raj TV on the eve of Republic Day to underline the importance of protecting the environment.
Though cricket players Sadagopan Ramesh and Ashish Kapoor were the captains of the teams, it were the stars like Jeyam Ravi, Silambarasan, Nanda, Prithvi, Shanthanu, Bharathi, Akil, and Sona made the 20000 strong crowd went gaga over the game. It was a 20 Twenty match in which Silambarasan’s team comfortably won the match by 46 runs.
Jeyam Ravi and Shanthanu were selected as the bowler of the match and the batsmen of the match respectively, while Hamsavardhan was declared the best all rounder.
