Asin's Interview
You have a very unusual name

(Laughs loudly) Yes. Sometimes I find it difficult to teach people how to pronounce my name. Actually, in Christian families girls are named after their grandmother. My granny’s name was Mary but my parents wanted to have an unusual name for their child which no one has and have a meaning. They found this name Asin which means- without sin, pure, without blemishes… Now I am glad and proud that I have an unusual name.

How did you come into films?
It’s a very interesting thing. While I was studying at the naval public school in Kochi, I was an all rounder. I have represented my school in sports, culturals and lot of activities. Thus seeing my photographs in newspapers, some advertising assignments came my way while I was just 14.

Then director Satyan Anthikkad cast me in his film as second heroine though immediately I was spotted by Telugu director Puri Jaganathan for Amma Nana O Tamil Ammayi with Ravi Teja. This film was a super hit and then I signed Sivamani with Nagarjuna. Then offers started pouring in and believe me everything happened so fast in my life.

But were you prepared for it?
Actually, I didn’t have time to think about anything. Even my parents and friends were in a state of shock as I never had any big dreams of making it to films. But now that I am here, I want to do the best. My dad always says that I am a perfectionist and it is true. All I want to do is a few good films.

You are touted to be the number one in Tamil film industry today with films opposite top heroes like Vijay, Vikram, Surya, Ajit?
(Smiles) Yeah I am enjoying my work. But please note that I am not in the race for number one position. Everyone is doing well for themselves.

Do you mind doing glamourous roles?
People mistake glamour for vulgarity. I love doing glamourous roles in characters that are young, bubbly and modern but definitely will be a miscast in skin shows. Today’s cinema is aimed at youth and I love doing homely roles that family audience can relate to.

Ravi's Sify Early Interview
Ravi, popularly known as `Jayam` Ravi shot to instant stardom after Jayam, his debut film. He is undoubtedly one of the young heroes who has a bright future. Well behaved and hardworking, he comes across as a sincere and genuine person. Sify.com caught up with the cherubic Ravi on the sets of his new film M.Kumaran Son Of Mahaklakshmi. Excerpts:

Jayam made a star out of you. Please comment.
Yes. I took a lot of trouble to do that role. It wasn’t easy for me to recreate the magic that worked in Telugu. I thank God and my parents for all the blessings showered on me.

But after Jayam there was a long break. Why did you not work for nearly six months?
It was deliberate. I did not want to grab all the offers that came my way. For me script is of prime importance and my father ‘editor’ Mohan and brother M.Raja were keen that I wait for the right subject and now everything has fallen into place.

But tell us why does your family prefer remakes?
There is nothing wrong in making remakes. Believe me, it is the most difficult thing to make it work with audience in a different milieu. Now Amma Nana O Tamil Ammayi from Telugu has a very good subject and we have made major changes in the script to suit Tamil nativity. So far remakes has worked out well for us and we are optimistic about this film also.

Nadia’s character is said to be very powerful. Please comment.
She has the best role in the film and the strength of my character Kumaran is derived entirely from Mahalakshmi, my mother. In fact in the Tamil version the mother’s character is much more powerful than it was in Telugu. We are fortunate that Nadia aunty is doing the role.

Like your contemporaries will you also be switching over to mass hero role with lot of action?
Right now I have not given a thought to it. I believe that it is the audience who should set an image for an actor. You can’t thrust anything on them, as they are smart. But in M.Kumaran Son Of Mahalakshmi I am switching over to an urban character unlike the village character in Jayam.

Will you be doing only films made by your home production?
I will be doing a film for Lakshmi Movie Makers directed by debutant Babu Yogeswaran. It will be my next film after MKSM.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?
I will be hardworking, devoted and sincere to my work like now. In films it is the box office success that matter and not the number of films you sign. I hope to come out with more hits and definitely will be around (smiles).

Asin's Filmography - London Dreams

London Dreams 2009

London Dreams is a Bollywood musical film directed by Vipul Shah. Starring Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan in lead roles, the film also features Asin Thottumkal as the lead female character. The film which released on 30 October 2009 has music by the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. It is largely believed to be loosely inspired from Peter Shaffer's 1979 stage play, Amadeus, based on the lives of composers Mozart and Antonio Salieri.

The Story
The story revolves around two childhood friends Arjun (played by Ajay Devgan) and Mannu (played by Salman Khan) who have some music lineage in their family history. Arjun dreams of being on stage as a performer in the music industry, to live up to his grandfather's unfulfilled ambitions. Mannu however has little interest in his music tutor father's instruments and is content with remaining a child at heart with a simpleton attitude.

Through the course of the movie, Arjun diligently pursues his dream, at one point almost leaving an uncle who is his only family. He finally makes it to London which he believes is where he can successfully reach his ambitions.
Arjun creates a fledgling band with Zoheb and Wasim (Rannvijay Singh & Aditya Roy Kapoor respectively), two brothers who'd duped their relatives in Pakistan to travel to London in pursuit of their musical aspirations. He also brings aboard Priya (played by Asin), a music enthusiast from a conservative South Indian family. The other protagonist of the movie, Mannu is however shown at this stage to be trying to make his livelihood by playing as a wedding band performer at the village back in India.
Arjun eventually invites Mannu to London to complete his band contrary to his own belief that the latter can create competition within the band.
Upon forming the band, Mannu is shown to have musical talent and the qualities of an entertainer. He therefore becomes popular with the audiences with his unique style of performing. This is contrast to the earlier part of the film where Arjun struggles to captivate the attention of the crowd despite the music.
As hinted earlier in the movie, Arjun starts feeling envious of the rising success of Mannu. As a further extension of the jealousy, Arjun who is starting a budding relationship with Priya starts sensing that she is now smitten by Mannu. While the latter now starts a relationship with Priya, he does become the target of Arjun's frustrations and therefore he seeks to sabotage his career. Zoheb, who doesn't like Mannu, decides to help him.
The band embarks on a three city tour spanning Paris, Rome and Amsterdam. Here Arjun deceives a naive Mannu rollercoaster ride of promiscuous sex and illicit drugs. He tricks him, gets him addicted to drugs and then gets him arrested in a car full of drugs. And while pretending to help Mannu, Arjun also leaks the story to the press. As the three city tour concludes, the band heads to London to perform at Wembley Stadium in front of an audience estimated at 90,000, which is of significance since earlier in the movie, the viewer is told that Arjun's grandfather had failed before a similar audience. Knowing how important this is for Arjun, Mannu tries to give up drugs. However Arjun decides that his success and mannu's total failure are related. He Pays a girl try to have sex with Mannu, which makes Priya break-up with Mannu. In this fragile state, Zoheb pushes mannu towards drugs again so that he can't come on to the stage.
In the moments leading up to the stage entrance, Mannu comes to senses and chooses the righteous path and runs to support his mate. But Arjun, who has become incensed with the crowd chanting Mannu's name, confesses his jealousy with Mannu's talent and what he did to finish Mannu off. The audience boos Arjun, the band breaks up and a sad Mannu goes back to his village.
Arjun's uncle, Om Puri advises him to go to Mannu and apologize to him. In the village, Mannu however tells him not to apologize saying that it was his fault that he didn't see Arjun's sorrow. And they get back together and London Dreams becomes a successful band again.

It has done reasonably well at the box office, though its business got largely affected due to more big banner releases the following week. The movie collected 25.40 crores over its first week and further added 10.70 crores in the second week. The movie might end up its total run under 38 crores which makes it an average BOX OFFICE movie. It got affected due to the exams in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and many more parts in India.

Asin's Filmography - Ghajini (Hindi)

Ghajini 2008

Ghajini  is a 2008 Bollywood film directed by A.R Murugadoss and produced under Geetha Arts. It is a remake of the Tamil film with the same name, which was also directed by Murugadoss. The plot of Ghajini is based on the Hollywood film Memento, written and directed by Christopher Nolan. It stars Aamir Khan, Asin Thottumkal and Jiah Khan in lead roles while Pradeep Rawat and Riyaz Khan essay supporting roles. Aamir Khan spent a year at the gym, continuously training with his personal trainer for the role. The movie is an action-thriller, with strong romantic elements, that explores the life of a rich businessman who develops anterograde amnesia following a violent encounter in which his love interest, model Kalpana, was killed. He tries to avenge the killing with the aid of Polaroid Instant camera photographs and permanent tattoos on his body.

The Story
The film opens with Sunita, a medical student, and her friends working on a project about the human brain. She wants to investigate the curious case of Sanjay Singhania, a (former) notable city businessman, who is reported to have anterograde amnesia. Her professor denies access to Sanjay's records as it is currently under criminal investigation. Sunita nonetheless decides to investigate the matter herself.

Sanjay is introduced as he brutally murders another man. He takes a Polaroid picture of the man, and time-stamps it "done". It is revealed that Sanjay has a strange form of anterograde amnesia where his memory is wiped out every 15 minutes. Sanjay uses a system of photographs, notes, and tattoos on his body to recover his memory after each cycle. Every morning, when Sanjay goes to the washroom, he sees a note next to the faucet saying "take off shirt". When he takes it off, he sees a series of tattoos on his chest. When he sees the tattoo "Kalpana was killed", and it is revealed that Sanjay is ultimately out to avenge Kalpana, and that he is systematically killing the people who were responsible for Kalpana's death. His main target, evidenced by several notes and tattoos, is "Ghajini". It is eventually revealed that Ghajini is a notable social personality in the city.
Police Inpsector Arjun Yadav is on the case of the serial murders. He tracks Sanjay down to his flat and attacks and disables him. Arjun Yadav is shocked by the extensive set of photographs and notes. He finds two diaries where Sanjay has chronicled the events of 2005 and 2006. The film enters flashback to 2005 as Yadav reads the 2005 diary. Sanjay Singhania is the scion of a reputed business house that owns the Air Voice mobile telephone company. He has finished his education abroad and returned to take over the family business. In the course of his business, Sanjay sends his men to meet Kalpana, a struggling actor/model, about putting up an Air Voice billboard above her apartment. The owner of Kalpana's modeling/advertising firm misinterprets this as a romantic advance, and (in view of a possible lucrative Air Voice ad campaign and other benefits) encourages Kalpana to accept the overture. He promotes her to become the lead model. Kalpana is generally sweet and kind. She decides this is an innocent prank (that may fetch her better modeling work) and begins to play out the charade as Sanjay's girlfriend.

Sanjay eventually meets Kalpana, but tells her that he is Sachin, a simple fellow from a small town, looking to make a new life in the big city. Kalpana lands him some small modeling gigs. She is eventually enamored by his charms and Sachin is swept by her kindness and grace. (He notices on more than one occasion that she is always ready to help the invalid, the poor, and the destitute.) They fall in love, and Sanjay eventually finds the courage to ask her to marry him. She asks for some time to consider his proposal. Sanjay decides that if she accepts, he will reveal his true identity; and if she declines, he will quietly back off with no harm done.

The film returns to the present day when Yadav is about to read the 2006 diary. Sanjay comes to, attacks Yadav, and ties him up. He tracks down Ghajini to a college function where Ghajini is the guest of honor. Sanjay snaps some pictures of Ghajini and decides (although he does not know why) to kill him. He meets Sunita at the function; she recognizes him from the cover of his files and decides to befriend him. Later that evening, Sanjay attacks and kills one of Ghajini's goons in the parking lot. He lays in wait for Ghajini but ultimately decides to launch his final attack at another time. The dying goon tries to remind Ghajini about an incident that took place two years back, in which Kalpana was killed, and Sanjay became a patient. Ghajini is perplexed and fails to remind himself well enough.

In the meantime, Sunita visits Sanjay's flat and finds Yadav, beaten and bound. She also finds that Ghajini is Sanjay's target. Yadav informs her that Sanjay is a known serial murderer. Sunita finds the two diaries and frees Yadav. Sanjay arrives suddenly; he remembers neither of them and chases them out. Yadav is eventually hit by a bus, and Sunita barely escapes the crazed Sanjay. Believing Ghajini is in danger, she informs him that it is Sanjay who is after him. With this named target, Ghajini arrives at Sanjay's flat to kill him. He destroys all the photographs and notes, and has his goon subdue Sanjay and tattoo over (thus scratching off) all of Sanjay's existing tattoos. Satisfied that he has neutralized Sanjay by wiping out any trace that connects back to him, Ghajini leaves.
Meanwhile, back in her dorm, Sunita reads the 2006 diary. The film flashes back to 2006. It is revealed that Kalpana had accepted Sanjay's proposal. This diary ends abruptly. Sunita investigates further, and discovers that at some point in 2006, Kalpana was unwittingly pulled into a sinister prostitution racket. She was traveling to a modeling assignment by train when she came upon 25 innocent young girls being transported to Goa to work as prostitutes. She saves the girls. But the girls name Ghajini as the ringleader of the racket. Ghajini uses his ways and means (through corrupt cops and politicians) to silence the girls, and personally goes in search off Kalpana. Ghajini and his goons had destroyed into Kalpana's apartment and waited for her to return. Coincidentally, Sanjay arrived there to meet Kalpana. Her last word to him was "Ghajini". The goons attacked Kalpana. Sanjay was about to intervene when Ghajini hit him over the head with an Iron Rod. Sanjay's last vision was to witness Ghajini brutally murder Kalpana with the Iron Rod.

Sunita, now aware of the shocking truth, finds Sanjay and tells him the truth. He flies into an uncontrollable rage and goes after Ghajini. Arriving at Ghajini's lair in downtown Mumbai, Sanjay systematically and brutally kills all of Ghajini's henchmen and launches into a vicious chase-fight after Ghajini. He is about to kill Ghajini when his memory loss cycle kicks in. Ghajini turns about and stabs him. He begins to taunt Sanjay with the grisly tale of how he murdered Kalpana, when Sanjay, with a sudden burst of last minute strength, overpowers Ghajini. Sanjay kills Ghajini in the same way as Ghajini killed Kalpana.

The film ends with Sanjay, still experiencing amnesia, volunteering at an orphanage. Sunita gives him a small gift which is the Cement slab of plaster on which Kalpana and Sanjay pressed their foot when Kalpana moved into a new apartment to remind him of his fond association with Kalpana. It is left to the viewer to decide whether Sanjay regains his memory or not [though the last scene, showing him reminiscing his past, strongly suggests the former]

Asin's Filmography - Dasavathaaram

Dasavathaaram 2008

Dasavathaaram is a 2008 Tamil language Indian feature film directed by K. S. Ravikumar, who features alongside actor Kamal Haasan for the fourth time. In the film, Haasan appears in ten different roles. Asin Thottumkal appears in a dual role and Mallika Sherawat plays a subsidiary role in the film. The Story
The film begins showing the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium filled with an audience, being hosted by Govindarajan Ramaswamy (Kamal Haasan) with prominent personalities including Prime Minister of India, Dr.Manmohan Singh, the President of the United States George Bush (Kamal Haasan) and the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi seated on the stage, following the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. Govind explains the idea of the chaos theory[dubious – discuss] and its effects on the world. Govind begins by reciting events from Chidambaram in the 12th century Chola empire of South India. Kulothunga Chola II, (Napolean) the King of the empire is a Saivite, believing in the Hindu deity, Shiva. The King wants to get rid of all temples of the deity Vishnu, followed by the Vaishnavites and intends to take a large idol of Vishnu from a temple intent on disposing it in the Bay of Bengal. However, Rangaraja Nambi (Kamal Haasan), a Vaishnavite, tries to stop the King from disposing his deity. Uncovering Nambi's plans to stop the idol's disposal, the King tells him to renounce his belief or be destroyed along with his idol. Nambi refuses to bow to any other god, despite pleas from his wife, Kothai Radha, (Asin Thottumkal) and their son, and is subsequently tied to the huge idol and both are thrown in the Bay of Bengal.

Govind (Haasan) and Jasmine (Sherawat) pictured in Chennai International Airport. The scene switches to the week preceding the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, beginning on December 20, 2004. Govindarajan Ramaswamy, commonly known as Govind, is a biotechnologist working at a lab in California, USA. He works in an organization which had invented a deadly virus which has the potential to be the greatest bio-weapon ever made by man, with the actual matter being kept well protected. However during an announcement with George Bush, Govind's lab monkey breaches the security protecting the bio-weapon and swallows it, killing it and producing a devastating effect. Following this discovery, Govind wants to destroy it, with the only possible remedy being the mixing of the weapon with sodium chloride. But his boss, Dr. Sethu (Rajesh Toleti) at the organization has a different idea and attempts to sell it to terrorist organizations. Upon the discovery of this, Govind makes off with the vial containing the virus and flees to his friend, Suresh's (Sanjay) home. Suresh betrays Govind and informs the boss that Govind is at his house.

Suddenly Christian Fletcher (Kamal Haasan), who is an ex-CIA officer, also appears in the scene wanting the vial for his own nefarious purposes. At Suresh's house, Govind manages to escape without harm but Suresh and his Japanese wife, Yuka (Ann), are murdered by Fletcher. The escaping Govind, finds himself in a car with another friend, Sairam, in whose belongings, the vial gets mixed up accidentally, sending the vial by mistake to Chidambaram in India. Unable to stop the flight, Govind finally manages to escape from the USA by sneaking aboard a cargo flight. Receiving intelligence on this issue, Fletcher decides to fly to India to recover the vial. Prior to leaving, he finds himself a translator in the Las Vegas pole dancer, Jasmine (Mallika Sherawat); also getting married to her before leaving. In Japan, Shingen Narahashi (Kamal Haasan), a Japanese martial arts expert and brother of Yuka, thinks it was Govind who killed his sister and comes to India, seeking revenge.

Upon arrival at Chennai airport, the vial is transferred to another plane and Telugu intelligence officer, Balram Naidu (Kamal Haasan) intervenes and questions Govind, who insists on talking to higher authorities but to no avail. As Naidu walks out of the room briefly, Fletcher invades the building taking Govind and a police officer, Bharath (Akash) hostage. The trio along with Jasmine are stopped at immigration but mange to escape after a Punjabi pop singer, Avtaar Singh (Kamal Haasan), faints and causes a frenzy at the airport. Eventually Akash gets shot and during this, Govind manages to escape from Fletcher and flees to Chidambaram in hope of finding the vial. Subsequently, Fletcher and Jasmine hire a driver, Broadway Kumar (M. S. Baskar) to transport them to Chidambaram as well.

The vial ultimately ends up at the house of a Brahmin family in Chidambaram. The vial, delivered in a parcel by the postman Prabhu (Vayapuri), is taken in by a 95-year-old, senile woman, Krishnaveni (Kamal Haasan), who lives in belief of receiving a parcel from her son, who perished . Govind pleads for it to no avail, but eventually changes the mind of Krishnaveni, after explaining the scientific threat to her granddaughter, Andaal (Asin Thottumkal). Krishnaveni responds by putting the vial inside the idol of the deity, Perumal, citing that God would destroy the weapon. Fletcher and Jasmine, eventually arrive in Chidambaram and Jasmine attempts to seduce Prabhu and Naidu's assistant, Ekambaram (Chitti Babu) to reveal Govind's location.

Govind tries to secure the vial before Fletcher and Jasmine reach them. Soon, Fletcher fires his gun near an elephant and it starts rampaging, with Jasmine getting badly hurt in the commotion. Lest she should say something, Fletcher shoots her dead. Govind tries to escape with the idol but Andaal, who worships the idol, tries to stop him. Eventually they both escape and after a long chase, they manage to reach the old Chola Temple, where the King watched the idol of Vishnu being thrown into the ocean in 12th century. Govind remembers that the vial should be kept cool so they bury the idol in cold sand and go in search of ice to maintain the temperature. As they stop to get ice, the pair find out they are being hunted by the police and that they are being portrayed negatively in the press. When they return they find that the quarry sand, where they planted the statue, is being stolen by illegal sand miners. The miners capture the duo as they try to reclaim the idol. Furthermore, their leader (Santhana Bharathi) attempts to rape Andaal when she shouts into darkness for help. Lights flash and Vincent Poovaraagan (Kamal Haasan), a Dalit who was neglected by the society due to their caste arrive, along with a bunch of TV reporters, comes to question the theft of sand from quarries. Using this opportunity, Govind and Andaal escape with the idol.

They manage to escape using the sand lorries and on the main road, they collide with a car which contains a Muslim family within it. Govind helps the family out of the house, with the injured also including seven foot giant Kalifullah Mukhtaar (Kamal Haasan), furthermore they simultaneously escape from threats from Fletcher and Balram Naidu. Kalifullah's mother, Megha (K. R. Vijaya) begins to bleed and Govind with Andaal take her to the local hospital. At the hospital Avtaar Singh rests with a tumour in his throat posing potential danger to his vocal cords and thereby, his singing career. He checks into a hospital and the doctor gives him some medicines in a cooler. Govind also gets a cooler, similar to the one of Avtaar Singh, to preserve the idol and hence, the vial. In a lift, the coolers of Govind and Avtaar Singh are mixed up, and Avtaar Singh sets off for his concert. Govind meets Bharath again, with the police officer instructing him to meet Balram Naidu. Govind picks up the cooler which actually contains the medicine and sets off to the police station, thinking that it has the idol inside. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Fletcher arrests Andaal at gun point and takes her to Kalifullah's home. He makes a phone call to Govind to get back along with the idol. Govind retreats from the steps of the police station, only to be spotted by Balram Naidu and Shingen Narahashi. The entire police force follow Govind to Kalifullah's home hoping to arrest Govind and Fletcher. When Govind and Fletcher meet, they are surprised to see that the cooler box does not have the idol in it and Govind guesses that it should be with Avtaar Singh. With assistance from Kalifullah's father, Sheik (Nagesh), they escape to the concert hall. Balram Naidu brings the police and enquirers Kalifullah and the residents of the entire village regarding the escape of Govind. Subsequently he orders everybody to be stationed in a Mosque to hasten the inquiry.

Avtaar Singh finishes his predicted last musical performance, vomiting a lot of blood while singing. At the end of the concert, Govind and Fletcher are waiting for him to exchange the cooler box. Fletcher shoots Avtaar Singh in the throat and after little confusion, Govind and Andaal set off on a bike along with the idol and Fletcher continues to chase them. Govind and Andaal reach a construction site along with the idol. The sun dawns on December 26, 2004. Fletcher holds Andaal at gun point and Govind hands over the idol to Fletcher, only to confess later to Andaal that he had removed the vial from the idol. Balram Naidu reaches the spot in a helicopter and chases Fletcher. Govind and Andaal set off with the vial, with Govind realizing the urging need to preserve it.

Meanwhile, J. Raghavendra (P. Vasu), head of the illegal sand miners tries to cajole Vincent Poovaragan to give up his activities and join his side. Most of Poovaragan's members have deserted him, however Poovaragan remains unchanged. At the same time, President Bush and few others come to know that NaCl could destroy the weapon. Back in Tamil Nadu, Govind notices a couple of drainage cleaners who coat their bare bodies with crystal salt before getting into the drainage holes. He gets an idea and runs toward the sea, only to be stopped again by Fletcher and Govind is no match for Fletcher and Fletcher succeeds in securing the vial. While Govind is hurt badly, Shingen Narahashi comes to his rescue and fights against Fletcher, after he understands Fletecher had killed Yuka. Govind watches Shingen Narahashi break Fletcher's arms and legs. Fletcher helplessly and in frustration, curses India and breaks open the vial and eats it despite pleas from Govind who shouts not to do it and at the same time asks Shingen Narahashi to back away. Balram Naidu, in his helicopter has followed Fletcher all the way through till the beach. As soon the vial is open, he zooms in with his binoculars and the virus starts replicating rapidly in the atmosphere.

Almost immediately, the Tsunami strikes. Balram Naidu flees away in his helicopter. Govind, Shingen Narahashi and Andaal take refuge in a small boat while the decaying Fletcher gets washed away. The Mosque which hosts the inhabitants of Kalifullah's village is unstruck and the entire village is saved and they return the good will by helping the police in Tsunami relief. J. Raghavendra's house is struck and Poovaragan saves the children of Raghavendra, but gets himself killed in the fracas. During relief efforts, Krishnaveni believes Poovaragan to be her son and cries out of grief finally, breaking the barriers of her caste. Andaal expresses her love for Govind and at the same time, praises God who, according to her, has saved millions of lives through a Tsunami in place of the vial. Govind questions her theory by asking if a God would kill thousands of lives. As Govind and Andaal set off from the beach, an idol of Vishnu is shown to have brought back to the land by the sea through the Tsunami. It is also indicated that the bullet that struck Avtaar Singh's throat cleared off the cancer and he should be able to get back to singing in a span of six months.

The scene changes back to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai where President Bush is invited to deliver his speech. After speaking, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi is invited to speak and credits roll by concluding in the Ulaga Nayagan song, in which K. S. Ravikumar makes his special appearance.
